Green Toys
If you were offered a toy range that was great fun to play with, had a large range of toys, including vehicles, bath toys and pretend kitchen play. That could be used in the house, the garden and the sand pit without breaking. Is dishwasher safe and is food safe, plus its great for the environment as it’s made from 100% recycled milk bottles and comes either with no packaging or cardboard packing. Would you consider it?
We would like to introduce Green Toys too you, this American, Californian based company, with full production in the USA, offers toys which do all the above and more. There is no glue, metal, screws or paint in their toys. Just plastic milk bottles, possibly other recycled plastic such as yogurt pots depending on the toy they are making, they collect the types of products they want from waste management, clean it, shred it into flakes and mix a food safe, mineral based soya ink for colour, to create your child’s next toy.
Even the packaging is recycled card board and if they need to make sure it doesn’t fall out the open fronted box, the fixing is made from recycled water bottles. This allows them to quote that for every pound of recycled plastic milk bottles used to create their toys, it saves enough energy as 3000 AAA batteries or to power a TV for 3 weeks. Plus if you recycle their box it saves a galleon of water.
The toys are great designs which roll easily, have well molded smooth handles and hold points for little fingers. The bath toys are great fun to play with but many have spouts designed to be perfect for hair washing, with an accurate large enough hole to make it fun and quick, so little ones can get back to playing. As the toys are made from milk bottles they are food grade plastic which means the tea sets in both pink and primary colours can hold real tea and the cake can go on the plates, plus they are not tiny so you get a whole sip of tea! Green Toy are best known for their vehicles, cars, trucks, wagons, submarines and boats and planes, plus many more. They tip, twirl, scoop and roll quietly across the floor and with no metal work, its ok to leave them outside or in the sandpit. They will be just as good next time you play with them.
When your children have finally grown too big for you to wash their hair in the bath play garages or tea parties. Pass them on to other children or recycle them so the plastic can go on to a new life, follow the Green Toy ethos of helping the planet.
